Look, lately I am in something of A Mood regarding the dominance of big monolithic platforms in Online World. I really don't want to get into it again so let's just take it as read that twitter, facebook, youtube, netflix, fucking disney plus, ebay, amazon, spotify, all these things are Bad.

It deeply frustrates me that these people have been able to successfully carry out their orchestrated conspiracy to destroy the decentralised Web such that most people are just totally OK with what's happened. anyway in conclusion hey you see how I've got this website right here that you're reading? I'm running it on my own paid web hosting hooked into a domain name that I own, and the pages and such are all generated using an open source static website generator (the one I use is called Publii, I like it for my purposes). None of them Big Content platform scumbags have any oversight over what I put here.

I wanna be clear: this does not cost me very much! You could, if you are so inclined, make something similar! TBH I would encourage it. Like if all my friends had cute little blogs like this we could all keep up with each other's blogs and maybe even bring back RSS readers, haha.
