The nature of posting
I write stuff here, and like, potentially nobody sees it. As far as I know at least. Everywhere else one posts stuff, there's all sorts of stuff you then get with regards to who's seen it, like "hey, so and so liked your post" or people in the comments or the honestly absurdly inflated metrics that tiktok seems to provide. But here, I get none of that, and yet I still am writing stuff.
This is true freedom. Caring about metrics and popularity is sinful and gauche.
"oh but I want to post things for my friends to see" you can just talk to your friends. set up a friends discord idk. Interact with your friends as friends, don't limit your friendship to the not quite social interaction that is "social media mutuals".
The best part of posting where nobody sees is you can post absolute fucking garbage like this and hey even if anyone's seeing it, look there's no comments section, what are you going to do, email me? Is it worth going out of your way to contact me over this terrible posting?
