Look I don't write here that much

but like, at least it is somewhere I can write that is entirely within my personal sphere of control. This editor I'm using (even if it some horrifying Electron nightmare software) is a piece of software that runs on my local machine. And it gets uploading to hosting that I pay for, attached to a domain that I own. And a domain and hosting is cheap enough that it's not a problem for me to afford.

And it gives me a place that can represent me, that's independent of whatever other crap around there. I don't rely on someone else offering me some sort of service for "free" to have stuff online. I can just put it online, and if the hosting I'm using goes away I can get different hosting. Or move my domain to a different provider. This is all reasonably stable stuff. Which is excellent. It can last as long as I need it to.
