Deck Kiosk physical case stuff begins
Software-wise the Deck Kiosk is basically ready to go. Long-term I do want to build a Decker-based deck loader (using some of the new not-yet-released danger mode features currently sitting in decker's git repo) but the desktop-based interface works fine for now. What we come to is the enclosure building.
As part of a page in my next zine, I did a concept sketch for what I'm planning. It looks like this.

I've bought several sheets of appropriately beige acrylic to make this out of.
With today off work, I visited my dad, with my four sheets of beige acrylic in hand. He proudly showed off his ability to cut a piece of wood at an angle, which will come in handy since we want the front to be slightly tilted back (about 5 degrees like the original classic mac). After some tests, he was able to figure out a way to cut the acrylic sheets in a fairly straight line without causing mess or damage or anything.
I've now been asked to come up with a diagram of what I want. Here's what I've got. Yes I did these in Decker of course.

The screen measurements are a bit rough because fiddly but I've found proper measurements by looking up the datasheet for the panel.
So yeah, progress is made. I think Dad may have a go at some building on the weekend. The plan is to use a wooden frame and then have the acrylic sheets glued to that.
